Valentines Day

So for all of you who do not know, this coming Monday is February 14. That would be Valentines Day for all of you who do not know. I heard on the radio this morning on my way to school saying something along the lines that Valentines Day is not actually supposed to be for married people and couples who have been together for a really long time. It is for those single people out there! This is the day were you go out and find someone to spend the day with. It does not mean you have to fall in love or do anything for them. Yes the main gifts are chocolates and flowers but you do not need those. Valentines Day is just a day to go out with maybe one of your good girl friends (or good boy friend) and show that you care about them (even if it is in a friend way). SINGLE PEOPLE this is the day that you go out and possibly find the one you may want to be with. Sorry married and long lasting couples, this is your day to stay home and keep your affection to yourselves for once. Let the single people go out and show their affection for once. (Sorry singles, I will be one of those people staying in and having dinner with my boyfriend. We are going on 20 months next week. That’s a year and 8 months for those not good at math.)

Anyway going on the subject about showing affection, does anybody notice those couples at Homestead that basically make out all over each other in the halls? If you have not, they are always lurking in those tiny spaces in hidden hallways, take a peek once or twice and you will know what I am talking about. Or if they are really open about their relationship, some couples will just make out right there in the halls. Not to be mean, but these couples disgust me. Every time I walk by I crank my head the other way. I am just perfectly fine with a little peck on the cheek during school, but please do not take it too far that people start yelling at you to get a room.
